Here’s another idea for how to use or otherwise maximize the use of under stair space. This is particularly useful for spaces that are relatively short. I love the simple lines that reinforce the expected elements. The drawer fronts beveled to follow the stair slope reinforce the stair skirt. The continuation of the base trim across the drawer fronts maintain the typical base element. It’s as if they just drew straight lines through the under stair structure. It’s beautiful. It was built by woodworker/radio show host CTD-2005 (?) who lives in Maine. He has other pictures of his work here.

This is gorgeous. I actually drooled the first time I saw it. What is the minimum amount of space (number of stairs) you would recommend for under stair drawers? The underside of our stairs is in the garage and I would love to make it more usable space.
Now that is a great way of utilizing the space under ones stairs, and those drawers are just beautiful. So clean cut and the amount of space that they create is just fantastic.
Its amazing what you can do with a small amount of space those draws just add something extra to the home, and I bet that any woman would be happy with that extra space. I know that I certainly would.
His work is really stunning, thanks for sharing it with us.
