Just added to my website - 2nd Story Addition to a 60's Rambler
My website has a couple of holes in that I’ve been meaning to fill. I needed to add 2 remodel projects and then add another 30 or so houses to the “See Homes Built in Your Area” section. So here’s one hole filled. This is a 2nd story addition that I designed a couple years ago in Mukilteo. It was a typical 1200 square foot 3 bedroom, 2 crummy bathroom house that was all divided up into individual rooms. We took 3 bedrooms and made them 2 larger with a laundry room, converted the 2 crummy bathrooms into 1 large bathroom, tore out the walls between the living room, kitchen and dining area and upgraded the kitchen. Then we added a 2nd story with a loft that looks down into the great room and a modern master bedroom and bathroom. Finally we added a large front porch. This is an empty nester professional couple who didn’t need more bedrooms but wanted a more modern living style in the home.

I have just came across this site and its informative and interesting. I just love the design of the house, from the exterior, and the inside sounds really amazing the only thing that did shock me was that its a 3 bedroom with only 1 bathroom. Something that one doesn’t hear of or get.
This is just a great site and I am really enjoying going through the posts, this house is just stunning I love the outside look, it would have been really great to see the interior, but I am a little confused why did they not make provisions for more bathrooms? It is a 3 bedroom home surely there should be more bathrooms.
