A Builder client of mine and I recently discovered that contemporary style homes are selling well in this dismal market. He built and sold 5 homes in West Seattle this fall. They were an experiment in finding a place in the market where a builder could still make money. Happily he did. The next project like that I design will use this Cor-ten siding. The cabin above was built by a local design-build firm Build LLC. The patina that develops in the Northwest weather is totally cool. You can see the homes I designed on my web site here.

hi,
nice cabin!
i’m interested in knowing the costs involved in building a cor-ten cabin as opposed to a regular cabin? thank!
I think that when you are remodeling you want to be around the project as much as possible!
If you can do a lot of it yourself that helps on quality and money.
Usually the best job done is the one you do because you know how you want it done and you
want it done nicely because you’ll be seeing it everyday - the contracter wont!
Thanks for this blog it had a lot of great information!
